Service Description

This class includes two handbuilding sessions over the course of two weeks. Each 2.5 hour session will cover hand building techniques such as slab building, pinch pot, sculpture and functional pieces such as mugs, bowls and vases. This class is suitable for all levels of experience but mostly aimed at beginners. Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If the adult wants to make something too, they must pay full price for a ticket and they will have a separate wheel/work station. This class includes the firing or your work and the glazing 3 of your favourite pieces from a choice of our 3 house glazes. All work will be fired, glazed and ready to collect in 6 weeks. You will be notified by email when your work is ready to collect. Please feel free to drop by the studio over the weekends between 10am-6pm to collect your work, after you have received your email confirmation. Our studio is located in Unit 2C within the Deemouth Artist Studios courtyard. There is limited parking available at the studio on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please do not park in spaces with signs dedicated to specific businesses in the courtyard. Pottery can be unpredictable and sometimes pieces can crack or explode during firing. We cannot guarantee creations will survive 100% of the time.
